An introduction to Estill Voice Training
10am - 5pm

A day's course to learn about the full range of vocal options available to singers and speakers and how we can produce them in practice and performance.

Fee: £85 - includes Tea/Coffee/biscuits during breaks (lunch is not)

Appropriate for singers/singing teachers/choir directors/musical directors / SLT's / ENT's/ actors/anyone who is interested in learning about the Estill Voice Training Model.

The Estill Model is taught at the top performing arts colleges in the UK and abroad and our Certified Master Teachers are busy working within the Music Industry as effective Vocal Coaches in TV, Theatre, and in Higher Education.  Learning how your voice is produced , what your bits and pieces are and how you can control them in your practice can give you the toolbox to self-diagnose what may be going wrong when you run into a problem and assist you with your students challenges too.

There will be a singing opportunity for several participants during the last section of the day workshop, to sing and witness the model being used as a teaching/coaching tool to help overcome various vocal challenges.  A great insight to teachers or singers who would like to start teaching others in an effective way.  Whether your rep or that of your clients is classical, pop, rock, jazz, musical theatre, legit, belt, country....there is a recipe!

The guiding principles of Estill Voice Training:

Estill Voice Training has no aesthetic bias - All qualities are acceptable as long as vocal health is not jeopardised - Everyone has a beautiful voice.

LMT Singing School also provides a
variety of voice workshops which are appropriate for team building corporate days, drama groups, amateur dramatic societies, youth clubs, schools and care homes.   Group learning in the full or half day workshops are also appropriate for those who want to learn a lot in a short space of time, rather than split over a course of one to one lessons.  See testimonials.

Leigh has also worked as a choir director for Mark De-lissers (The Voice UK Vocal Coach and MD of ACM Gospel Choir) 'Singology' as well as starting up 'A Choir to Remember' based at one of Essex's premier care homes for Dementia residents.

Taking part in a voice exam or performance is an excellent way to get a real sense of achievement from your singing lessons.  It is also a great way to make friends with other singers who have similar interests.  In each showcase there are group songs, arranged in parts to suit your voice type, as well as a selection of solos, duets and trios.  The audience are treated to a wide selection of music at each showcase, as we perform a range of songs from stage, screen and charts old and new!  Sometimes songs are accompanied by live guitar, piano or a full band.
